sex slave::pit bull clones::mink lined handcuffs::miss wyoming::etc.

This is one bizarre story that I can't believe I didn't know a thing about until now. Apparently, trent Harris (Utah filmmaker, Rubin and Ed, et. al.) has even made a documentary (pronounced doc.you.men.TAR'.ry if you are from upstate New York, apparently...) about this. The full story is here, and great photos to accompany it are here.

I have to say, that's kind of a cool dress.

OMG OMG OMG! I have heard of this story; only the cloned dog part of it. NO idea about the rest! It is too fantastic! Great find Richelle.

I don’t know which snippet of surreal juxtapositions I love the best, like this:

May chained the prisoner to a bed. For two days, McKinney tried to persuade the missionary to marry her and father her children. She even read Scriptures with him in bed.

But really, there are so many!

This is something right up Adamn Gorightly’s alley.

Great story! It shouldn't be funny (the kidnapping) but it is.

As to cloned dogs -- I can understand how someone would miss their beloved pet and want it back, but there are millions of unwanted pets killed every year. Anyhow, I think I am more against the cloning than her previous crime. :-)

Yes, it is doubleplus weird. How about this: "...the pair fled to Canada, using false passports and disguised as deaf-mute mime artistes..."

Because nothing says 'incognito' like a painted white face, and a court jester outfit.

This is a true Fortean story, in Brilliant Fortean Goodness!

Maybe we should crown her Fortean Story Queen of the Day or something. . .:)

Oh, and just my two cents on the clone thing; as much as I love love love my pets, (I have Shiva's ashes on our mantle) I wouldn't clone them. I don't like the whole clone thing at all . . .

I'm all about cloning. I would clone my old scottie dog, thurston, if I could.

but it still wouldn't be the same dog, it would just look like him.

Exactly. It would look just like him.
