On the L.O.W.F.I. Site: "Hum a Few Bars for Me" by David Andrew: Beeping Sounds

Hum a Few Bars for Me by David Andrew.

At the L.O.W.F.I. site, this guest article by David Andrew on the buzzing and humming sounds often heard by some abductees. I don't consider myself an abductee, as I often point out, for two reasons. One, I have no idea what the abduction phenomena is about and two, I don't have any specific conscious memories of the classic abduction scenario, even though I have had a lot of very strange experiences. As Jeremy Vaeni said to me once I've gone through "Abduction 101." (Missing time, strange dreams, obsessions, synchronicities, life time of UFO sightings, aliens...) Yet, I have heard these strange buzzings, clickings, hummings and electronic type sounds in my head many times during OOBEs and related experiences.

Andrew cites research done in this area of sound and brain wave patterns and writes:
Some abductees have reported humming or buzzing sounds just before certain abduction experiences. This made me wonder if these sounds might actually have a purpose that could be related to the abductee’s brain wave function. Could extraterrestrials be utilizing sound to affect abductee’s brain waves and, what would be the purpose in doing so? It seems quite evident that sound waves can affect brain waves.
Andrew goes on to cite experiments done by the Department of Defense using sound to alter brain waves. While Andrew doesn't come out and say it -- and I don't know if this is his intent or not -- I wonder if he wasn't getting at MILABs. (Military Abductions.)

Either way, this pattern of hearing buzzing, beeping, humming sounds during sleep, OOBEs, abductions, etc. is something that is reported by some UFO witnesses, including myself.

These sounds are not heard by just abductees however. In some Bigfoot encounters and other high strangeness events witnesses report hearing these sounds. See Greg Taylor's Her Sweet Murmur, and my  Beeping article for UFO Digest.

New Posts at Oregon L.O.W.F.I.

I contribute to Skylaire Alfvegren's L.O.W.F.I. (League Of Western Fortean Intermediaists) site; in the Western Oregon section. I have several new posts up there, including two about an odd outbreak of "compartment syndrome" among high school football students in McMinnville. The syndrome is rare, rarer still is that it doesn't affect so many people at the same time, or, the location on the body, as happened in this case.

Oregon L.O.W.F.I. here.

While you're there, read the other articles there on high strangeness from around the West: Adam Gorightly, Lesley, Andrew Colvin, Skylaire's articles, Brad Stieger, and more.

Mechanical Voices From the Fringe

Reports of electronic, mechanical sounding voices from entities are sometimes reported as part of a UFO or some other unexplained event. Ghosts, aliens, UFOs, general high strangeness... buzzing, whirring, chimes, bells, clanging, metallic-electronic-mechanical type voices seem to emanate but, from where, and why do they sound so weirdly odd? This electronic weirdness has also been reported in some Mothman accounts.

The blog Strange Planet has a very interesting post about this strange sounding "voice," which inspired me to think on this and write about it at my blog Mothman Flutterings.

Vatican Cracks Down, ....

I have something up at UFO-Mary about the Vatican's recent cracking down on those who experience Marian Apparitions. It's a bit chilling.

Bush/Cheny pushed through, even in their last, gasping days, their agenda to continue the wolf slaughter.

Lesley posted a couple of interesting photographs she took in Washington of the BVM with orbs.

I comment about the hilarity of the so-called UFO Iconoclasts bloggers and their ridiculous assertion I, along with Lesley and Lehmberg, are "bringing down UFOlogy."

My musings on 2012 on Binnall of America. While there at Tim Binnall's, be sure to read Richelle Hawks, Tina Sena, Richard Thompson, Lesley and everyone else! Also listen to the great podcasts.

Lastly, my Mothman's Photographer III by Andrew Colvin, arrived today! I am so excited, I've only read the forward by Nick Redfern and leafed through it, but it promises to be great.

The Sign of the Green Alien, or Beware the Reptilians!

I'm posting this here because the following dream (I know, snore) has a bit of something to do with my previous post here about my OOBE. (My Utterly Completely Wondrous New Age OOBE)

That first dream/OOBE was wonderful, fantastic, amazing, and positive. This one, while almost silly sounding, was creepy and scary.

I'm reading Gray Barker's The Silver Bridge. It's been reissued by Andrew Colvin, author of Mothman's Photographer, so we all have him to thank for this. (I urge anyone interested in Mothman, or anyone just interested in Fortean stuff to read both Colvin's and Barker's books.) Copies of The Silver Bridge have been rare, and, if lucky enough to find a copy, you'd have to pay upwards of $400! Now you can get it for about $10.00. I'm enjoying the book very much. I have a fascination with Mothman that I can't explain; I've never been back east (except for one brief visit to North Carolina once) let alone West Virginia, so I don't know what's that all about. (My grandfather, part native American, was from Virginia, ... but that's a very thin connection, if any )

So I'm reading the book before going to sleep, and as I'm turning out the light, I had this weird thought pop into my head: that I better do some protection around me, because I don't want to encounter any negative entities or energies. Then I thought, "well, I wasn't planning to, and I'm tired." I turn off the light, and go to sleep. I don't know why I had that thought: I was enjoying the Silver Bridge, and not at all feeling creeped out or "scared," and certainly not thinking anything about Reptilians. As far as Mothman goes, I don't know what Mothman is/was, but I've never felt it to be Reptilian, not sure it's alien as in from outer space, or even convinced it's a negative energy.

I have a dream. It's almost funny at first. I'm very happy, very excited about something good that's happened, and I'm running down the street in joy. I run past a glass apartment building kind of thing, and I notice that there are little toy aliens everywhere, mostly green. Little rubber and plastic alien faces, and toys, and my first thought is: "That's so cute! How neat they have a sense of humor!" But then I quickly see that the building is empty, and I the thought occurs to me that it isn't funny, not one damn bit. We don't know what's going on, who the aliens are, if they're really even aliens, as in ET, and yet we're running around making cute little cartoons out of them. We're playing with fire!

But I don't have much time to dwell on that, because I'm happy, and running down the street to a local coffee shop to share my news. I go inside, and there are a lot of people in there, and at first, I'm glad to be there. Then I realize: "Goddamn!!!!! These aren't people, they're aliens! They're not just aliens, they're Reptilians!" And I see their faces change, from human, to a subtle olive green color, and their features change a bit. Not too much however, if you weren't paying attention, you wouldn't notice. And then they quickly change back. I'm freaked! I'm scared! And then they notice that I notice . . . and they're very angry about that. I try to deny that I've noticed anything, but they're not buying it. Then I get angry my own damn self, lol, and say really intelligent things like, "Who do you Reptilians think you are, anyway?!" which of course, just pisses them off even more. Suddenly I realize how really dangerous they are.

Here the dream changes. I wake up, scared to death, and don't want to go back to sleep. But I'm an adult and have to wake up at six in the morning, so tough for me. I try to go back to sleep. I immediately begin to experience that rushing, roaring sensation, and see whirls and swirls of green scales, just that, green and scales and the knowledge lizard intelligences are afoot. They won't stop, just swirling rushes of Reptilian green, and I know that that's what it is, and "they" are trying to get me to come out and play.

I say to myself that, as much as I would love to have another out of body experience like I had here, and trip the astral plane fantastic, not like this! I literally said to myself "I'm not going there!" and with great effort, woke myself up.

One more thing: I noticed earlier in the evening, while cooking dinner, there was a large green ink smudge on my hand, like something you'd get from a marker. It could have happened anywhere, and I do work in a school, but it I hadn't seen it before, and I have nothing like that at home that I can think of. A perfectly natural explanation, but a very weird bit of synchronicity.

"Sacred Prostitute" - Mary Magdalene

Jules Joseph Lefebvre: "Mary Magdalene in the Cave" 1876

While working on something about birds, Mothman and the BVM (Blessed Virgin Mary) I found this: SACRED PROSTITUTE Mary Magdalene: Was She or Wasn’t She?, which I found very interesting. It's from a site called Sexual Fables.
Over the last 30 years, many scholars, both male and female, secular and religious, have complained that much has been left out of the Gospels (“Good stories”) by Matthew, Mark, Luke, John... and Paul. The gospel writers stand accused of patriarchal values because they left out the saucy details. The scholars have asked a series of provocative questions: what exactly was Jesus’ relationship with Mary Magdalene? Was their relationship sexual? Wasn’t it normal for young Jewish men to be married by the time Jesus and the disciples were preaching in the Galilee? If so, why there is no mention of their wives? Was Mary Magdalene, in fact, the leading apostle? Was she married to Jesus? . . .

Above all, was Mary ever a prostitute and, if she was, what was the nature of her special mystique that she has incited all these scholarly reinventions? Was she from someplace else altogether, like Egypt? Was she black? Has the true story been suppressed?

Well, that last question is certainly THE question, as we know.

Lots of interesting things on the site, including threads to follow that lead to yet other interesting things . . .

Moth Poem

I have a new item up at my blog Mothman Flutterings, about a poem I wrote about twenty years ago or so, and parallels to Mothman.

Mothman Flutterings

I've started a new blog, using Word Press, which I like. WP doesn't have a lot of fancy things but I like it's look and ease. I like Blogger too; just different.

The new blog is Mothman Flutterings. The inspiration came from my interest in Mothman (that I've had for years, ever since reading Keel's book), reading Andrew Colvin's Mothman Photographter's II, and some odd experiences of my own.

You can visit the blog here: Mothman Flutterings, or cut and paste link below:
