Skinwalker Ranch Dire Wolf Synchronicity

Reading Whitley Strieber's fictional work, Beyond 2012, the Omega Point. Just read the part where a character is writing in his journal about events and "time movement." He mentions the Skinwalker ranch in Utah, specifically, the wolf like creature that was seen there:

"...I recognized the animal to be a dire wolf. .. the dire world was rendered extinct by... the last Ice Age. And yet, here it was on this ranch. I think that this animal had moved through time...there was something about the place... in its own time, this animal was experiencing incredible fear. Its world was collapsing... most of Utah was flooded along with the rest of the United States by rapid glacial melt. .. given pressure extreme enough and the right conditions, actual physical movement through time must be possible." (Strieber pp83-84)

Last night, listening to Coast to Coast, a female caller recommend reading Vallee, and said that the events at the Skinwalker ranch (among other unexplained encounters) was due to our imagination. Not in the sense we are making things up, but that there is another dimension, or place, where all these things exist. Opening ourselves up via imagination causes us to see these things. (That's what I got from her anyway.)

Two different takes; Strieber, via his character, suggests that time lines exist concurrently and, due to events in one time line, another time can abruptly appear. The other; that our minds somehow allow us to see these other realities, for whatever reasons, being open to the possibility among them.

From Ghost Hunting Theories: Might You Be a Psychic?

Nice post from Autumn Forest on Ghost Hunting Theories: Ghost Hunting Theories: Might You Be a Psychic? in which she outlines categories of potential psychic abilities. I fit into what she calls "soul seer" as well as "tomorrow tumblers" (I love that) and some of "creature comforters." Really interesting, visit her blog (which is great) for more.

Opening Up, Synchronicity

Source: Free Images
Are moments of synchronicity signals to us that "they" heard us and are responding? ("They" being whatever force, symbol, deity, entity, energy you care to put on it. )

A big issue for me is distraction. Putting a label on it, like AADD helps in one sense; it's not "just me" and I'm not a big stupid lazy flake. Others may think so, and I don't blame them, but for myself (and a bit ironically) that acknowledgement of my life long struggle with things has actully helped me to focus. Acknowledged, named, owned, I now move on. It's not an excuse; in fact, since I've been dealing with this in various ways I've become less distracted. I look at it, say "screw off, AADD," and fight the good fight.

I'm going on about this because my path has been one of distraction. (I suppose "all who wander aren't lost" is a good motto to keep things positive.) So the past couple of weeks I, once again, have been focusing on meditating and the work in psychic/intuitive areas, including the use of oracles. Each time I go back to this work, immediate results come in, from OOBEs to precognition...the gates have opened, and a rush of energy comes through.

I used to wonder why moments of synchronicity are often trivial. Someone once told me that the fact they happen at all is far from trivial. Forget the message, that's just a nudge to get your attention. If the moments of synchronicity were hugely enlightening every time then we'd explode from all that brilliance.

So lately since I've been meditating and working once again with stones, particularly amethyst, I've been experiencing synchronicity. Most are too trivial to mention. But here are two examples: yesterday as as I was working in the garden, I found myself thinking of the actress Dorothy McGuire. What movies was she in, whatever happened to her, etc. I wondered why my chattering mind was suddenly focusing on Dorothy McGuire but there it was. And after a hard day of working in the yard, I turn on the TV later that night to find that The Spiral Staircase, starring Dorothy McGuire, was just about to start on TMC.

This morning, as I'm sweeping the living room floor, I see a huge disgusting and scary insect crawling over a book. (I admit that it was "disgusting" because I was scared.)  I don't know what it was exactly, at first I thought it was a cricket. Then maybe a wasp of some kind. I'm still not sure; I wasn't about to get a close look. I don't like killing things and will often take creatures out of the house, and I'm not one of those yahoos that stomp on bugs just because you can. But I did this morning. That bug was huge, ugly and creepy. It actually frightened me.

Finished with sweeping, I settle in to read the morning paper, starting with the comics. (The horrors of the day can wait two minutes.) I turn to one of my favorite comics, Mutts, and see this:

Animal Forteana: Here Be Dragons! Itty Baby Ones, on Game of Thrones

Of the season finale of Game of Thrones, dragons, and (possible) Queens:
True, the women have power, but the King trumps the Queen. Ah, but not so fast, for Khaleesi/Daenerys Targaryen has come into her own. Surrounded by her dragons, she will indeed rule, I suspect. And I bet the red winged dragon will be her special one; the leader of the pack (all three of them), the one who leads the way

Rest in Peace Ms. Francis: An Esoteric Look

I was sad to hear that Anne Francis had died, at age 80, of pancreatic cancer. I blogged about Ms. Francis at Pulp Jello, with a link to the very excellent Monster Island News, who has a lovely post about her.
Aside from her role in the classic sci-fi Forbidden Planet, Anne Francis was had her own way cool TV show in the sixties: Honey West. I loved that show! I was ten years old, and watched it religiously. Boy, I wanted to be her when I grew up!
In looking at clips of the show on YouTube, I noticed a couple of estoeric themed episodes. One is The Owl and the Eye, where Honey West is hired to protect a statue of an owl:

This episode clip is titled The Abominable Snowman:

New Age Clown Fish Dream

Wonderful dream last night in a kind of goofy way. There is much more to this dream that goes along with what I posted about awhile ago on Snarly Skepticism, and maybe I'll post about that but for now, I'll just share this one part:

I'm some kind of psychic/healer/medium and am hired by a family to heal their fish; a clown fish. The clown fish is beautiful, but much larger than clown fish in waking life. This dream clown fish is about two feet long, almost eel like, but very friendly and beautiful. The orange color, all the colors, just lovely. But the clown fish is sick, so I'm hired to come and help.

The family is a blended family and a large one. Mostly Caucasian American and Indians, Hindu and Buddhist.

I go into the room where the fish is. There are two tanks. One on a shelf, the other tank on a shelf higher and off to the left a bit. A tube connects the two. After looking at the fish I know the fish will most likely be all right, though it's sick now, but the rest is up to the family, I tell them. They really love this fish. I tell them the fish has a "Forty seventy" chance of living (I realize when I woke up you can't have a "forty seventy" but that's what was said in the dream) and that, instead of being sad that there's a seventy percent chance it might die, be grateful and concentrate on the forty percent that he'll live.

I show them how to sit with the fish every day, for at least ten minutes a day, and just concentrate on the fish being well. Send it love, literally, white light from your heart to the fish, and back again. Everyone in the family has to do this, and even when away from the fish, think about the fish and send it love and light.

I tell them it's important to keep the tanks clean, make sure the water is fresh and running and let the fish go back and forth between tanks. The fish follows the tube between tanks.  And indeed, as we're there in the room and I'm talking, the fish is happier and brighter and swimming back and forth between tanks.

I think this dream has something to do with the subconscious and the whole circus discussion surrounding UFO experiences. The clown fish, aside from the name, is orange (orange orb.) The clown fish was not just a happy go lucky rather silly fish; it was actually very beautiful and intelligent, as well as happy.

Antediluvian Dreams and the Collective Unconscious: An essay on the late, great Alexander McQueen

I have a confession to make: I am passionate about fashion design's occasional ability to tap into the zeitgeist. Not every designer can do this-- it is relegated to only a rare few at any given point and time in my humble opinion. True, it seems strange that a practicing psychic such as myself would be so focused on an industry so seemingly absorbed on the "surface" "frivolous" and "irreverent" as fashion, and indeed, it can be that to a large extent. But when fabric is molded and shaped in the hands of someone such as Alexander McQueen, all bets are off. Indeed, truly great designers give birth to realities by a combination of fixation, symbolic transference, and forecasting, not entirely unlike what good psychics do.

The genius of Mr. McQueen's approach that was so different than his peers was that he frequently mined the subterranean depths of his own dreams and nightmares and came out with something that Jungian psychoanalysts could only refer to as a byproduct of the "anima"-- that of the feminine unconscious of the male, the shadow self, the primitive feminine, the Hindu goddess Kali the Destroyer compassionately rebuilding the lover she has thoughtlessly trampled in her blind dance of ecstasy, the witch, the Cassandra, the reptilian part of our gene code, the canary in a coal mine laying in wait in all of us, waiting to reveal the message.

Forecasting indeed.

Many of his designs and fashion shows featured a curious combination of vestigial tails, strange bumps and lumps on clothing that gave the effect of genetic mutations growing on the person wearing the outfit, fins on heads, and a primordial stew revivified in a swirling kaleidoscope of a very future-long-past gene pool of which McQueen was taking a snapshot just before waking. There was also a "cyborg" undercurrent mingling with this liminal state that always seemed to encapsulate the pervasive, almost symbiotic role technology has become in the lives of many in the industrialized world.

It was with great interest that his second to last collection of clothing came to my attention, but through most unfortunate means: on February 11th, 2010, Alexander, or "Lee" as he was known to friends and family, distraught over the recent death of his mother not a week prior, took his own life. The shock of his passing was only barely surpassed by my shock in finding how accurate he had been in unearthing a memory of our galactic history.

The Spring 2010 collection:

Many fashion editors and fans refer to the shoes as "alien", and upon further viewing of the appearances of the models, many associations were made with depictions of the facial structures and builds not unlike tall blonde human extraterrestrials/"middle earth inhabitants" whom abductees and experiencers see and occasionally "speak" with telepathically. There is a referencing to technology in all of this as well, but of one ancient and lost; seemingly inseparable from the fantastic and physical. Holographic and pixelated fabrics mingle with the morphing of the reptilian/amphibious/hybrid human theme.

Life will find a way to reinvent itself to somehow evolve and then crash from its own arrogance, the designer seems to be saying. Just like ancient Atlantis.

Indeed, he was influenced by Plato's depiction of the lost civilization; if only from the Wikipedia version. Nonetheless he ran with it and succeeded wildly:

"... while the silhouettes and accessories presented were futuristic (ask yourself: what in fashion history can you really compare them with?), they were also strangely familiar, but in a time-dilated way...like a long-buried memory of a future life.

Plato's Atlantis was initially inspired by the Wikipedia version of the philosopher's vision of the lost continent, a former naval power which "sank into the ocean 'in a single day and night of misfortune'" and receded into the mists of time, only to end up "a byword for any and all supposed advanced prehistoric lost civilizations." But whether it actually existed wasn't the point for the designer. "Atlantis is like, to me, a metaphor for Neverland. It can be anywhere in your mind, anywhere where people find sanctuary in bad times."

The article goes on to add:

"According to Plato, the residents of Atlantis began valuing money over spirituality, and became "faint and weak." Though blessed, they "were filled with lawless ambition and power." Are we any different?"

It is a sad farewell to a man who was just beginning to grasp that which is potentially a breakthrough in how we evaluate and look at, well, the superficial. He will be greatly missed.

From Hidden Experiences: "five owls"

Another poetically moving piece from Mike Clelland's Hidden Experience blog, this one another entry about the appearance of owls. I like this blog because it's very personal, and the author seems connected with nature and signals around him -- listens to them -- as go-betweens and guides from one world of awareness to another. As Mike has written in the "about this blog" section:
Events can be hard to recall. Especially when these memories seem to stretch my psyche in ways that can be distressing. If these memories and events are just tiny clues, what do they point to?

I feel strongly that something is going on. But what that might be, seems beyond my ability to solve
.

I think for many of us with experiences of the UFO/paranormal/Fortean kind, these clues, signs, messages, synchronicities . . . act as reminders and guides to these experiences. Often something triggers some nagging feeling or bit of memory or a dream or something that I know has to do with "the other" but not sure why, or how, not just yet. And this absolutely includes UFOs.

That is why I am always urging others in the UFO field to include these reports and types of witnesses and accounts instead of rejecting them as nonsense or irrelevant. It's also why I am so appreciative of those who, like Mike, put themselves out there and so willingly share their experiences. A big part of this, I think, is that we just can't help ourselves but also, we hope that in our sharing of seemingly unrelated, vague, so-called "so what" moments we'll find that someone else knows what we're talking about. I can't speak for Clelland or anyone else of course and maybe I'm presuming much here; but I do see connections with these kinds of things. It's like looking at some types of art or listening to poetry or jazz; an abstraction or symbolism that doesn't, on the surface, "mean" much but yet resonates with the viewer anyway.

Swine Signals

Some odd things in my town surrounding the swine flu scenario; first case (s) of swine flu reported in Oregon, local elementary school had roughly 1/5 of its population either call in sick, or go home sick, with a stomach ailment yet it was not, insists authorities, swine flu or food poisoning. All that, and a sudden, localized freak tornado -- also at a school -- levitating an adult. Read about it on my crustacean conspiracy blog Octopus Confessional.

Tarot, Maxi Pads, and Animal Sacrifice

Richelle Hawks has a great piece on commercials and advertising, on Binnall of America in her Medusa's Ladder column:Strange Days, Indeed: Notes on Identity and the Super Bowl Commercials And when I read this I just had to find out more:
"I found a magazine ad of an Always maxipad slapped on a tarot card."

If that isn't esoterica I don't know what is. It's teeming with esoteric symbolism.

I found the image; it appears on The Tarot Channel blog. Of course there isn't really a Tarot card called "The Protector" but here's what Tarot Channel says about the number II assigned to the ad card:
I'm thinking that the ad creators had to have some knowledge of Tarot because "The Protector" is assigned Roman numeral II, The High Priestess (who is, of course, associated with the moon).

And in a bit of synchronicity, my Trickster's Realm column for Binnall of America is also about commercials and advertising. Conspiracies and Cannibalism: Animals and Advertising.I didn't know Richelle's column was about commercials until she told me the other day; after I had been working on mine. I avoided reading her column until I sent mine off to Tim Binnall.

Richelle's is up now, mine will be up sometime tomorrow. And be sure to read all the great columns over there as well.

Echoes of the Georgia Bigfoot Hoax?

Fringe world is barely recovering from the Georgia Bigfoot body hoax, and now we get images of an alien body from Mexico. Mexico's UFO researcher Jaime Maussan has brought this story out, as has Joshua P. Warren, who recently appeared on Coast to Coast. The video clip link posted there leads us to the They Don't See Through Us blog, but the clip has been removed from YouTube. Not surprising, but frustrating.

If this was a once living creature of any kind, it's a sordid and gratuitous episode: capturing the thing, trying to drown it, putting the body in acid, killing it... finally succeeding. Adding to the seedy mystery is the tale that the rancher who found it was later killed, burning to death in his car. No proof or evidence of this, yet the story remains.

Other possibilities: monkey caught in a trap, found already dead, or, killed, etc. Rancher either tried to pass it off as a hoax, or genuinely thought it was odd.. endless speculation on motivations.

There are the obvious symbolic images and "twilight language" aspects of this story: the Mexican "alien," the deaths, the burnings, sacrifice ... the typical paranormal, esoteric happenings; removed YouTube clip, unsubstantiated stories.

There's talk of DNA testing in the works, all the usual. A lot of comments about a dead monkey, passed off as an alien. Questions about why would a well known UFO researcher such as Maussan, get involved in something like this?

Whatever it turns out to be and of course, it is not an alien from space, it is, on the one hand, creepy even, but on the other, business as usual. These things happen all the time in fringe world.

Animals: Lesley's Blog

I'm an animal lover, more than that, I have a strong spiritual connection with animals, and it's in this context that I'm promoting one of Lesley's blogs, The Wild Kingdom. It's all about animals; animal rights, animal welfare, and the Fortean side of the animal world.

Please visit her blog. It's really good and full of items, some which will make you very sad, like Sarah Palin's pro hunting wolf, and by helicopters, other items will please you.

Animal Messages

Bigfoot is an animal -- whether paranormal, flesh and blood or both. I comment on the few positive takes on the whole "RickMat" Biscardi Bigfoot body found! situation on Trickster's Realm on Binnall of America, which should be up sometime tomorrow.

Another animal post is up at my Trickster Northwest blog, about a series of slightly odd encounters today: Animal Messages.

"He'll Rip Your Lungs Out, Jim: Thoughts on Black Dog Syndrome

That is a great title!

It seems the women here at WOE are a modest group -- except for me,who's always shamelessly self-promoting -- for they don't promote themselves. So I'll do it for them, in this case, for Richelle Hawks, who has another great column up at Binnall of America. This week her Medusa's Ladder column discusses the black dog and "canine energy." As Richelle says, she's been "steeped in it" recently.

Richelle looks at the black dogs available for adoption at shelters and asks the obvious question: why? In doing so, she explores the mythic and folkloric history of the black dog, and our relationship to this Fortean archtype.
