More on Surrealist Painter Leonora Carrington
![]() |
| Leonara Carrington, Jack Be Nimble |
Many thanks to dia sobin who shared this link of paintings by surrealist artist Leonaora Carrington, who passed away recently: Leonora Carrington.
Her paintings are beautiful. Some of them remind me of Tarot cards, others, of esoteric alien-abduction-ET realms, even though, I am quite sure, that was not Carrington's intent, I'm simply saying they remind me of that a bit.
Enjoy.

Surrealist painter Leonora Carrington dies aged 94 | Reuters
British painter Leonora Carrington, one of the last surviving artists from the golden age of Surrealism, has died aged 94 in her adopted home of Mexico City, where she had lived quietly for decades.Surrealist painter Leonora Carrington dies aged 94 | Reuters
Mexico's national arts council said Carrington died on Wednesday night in the Mexican capital. Local media reported she died of pneumonia.
An arresting beauty in her youth who became famous for her paintings of women and mythical beasts, Carrington was embraced by the Surrealists in the late 1930s, when she had a passionate affair with German artist Max Ernst.
Viewed as a national treasure in Mexico, her eccentric bronze sculptures dot the capital's main avenue Reforma. One piece was ripped from its bolted base and stolen from a public exhibition in 2000, though the thieves later abandoned it.
"She created mythical worlds where magical figures and animals predominate. Cobras become goats, crows transform into blind spirits and inhabit trees and houses," Conaculta said in a statement. "They are images that emerged from a mind obsessed with representing the transcendent reality we live in."
Here's more on Ms. Carrington, from Encyclopedia of the Exquisite: Nobody's Muse.
I didn’t have time to be anyone’s muse,” said Carrington. “I was too busy rebelling against my family and learning to be an artist.”
Mad Makow Going Strong...
Mad Henry Makow is really going at it. As if the previous article wasn't enough; now this from Peter Tesky. Women Today are "Whack Jobs": Women Programmed to self-destruct; Feminist Cultural Leaders are Traitors. I could comment endlessly but it speaks for itself, as in:
Why do I keep picking on Makow? Because, while he's hysterical and it's a surreal feeling to know there are actually people like him out there, there are actually people like him out there. The comments left on these articles are scary --- sigh, there are really people like him out there! And just about the only site you can count on to pass along Makow's homophobic, sexist, anti-Semitic insanity is Jeff Rense's site, which says quite a lot about ol' Rense.
"Most women are confused, anti-social, filled with anxiety and fear, and when you approach them, they treat you like a predator or a pervert. Those who are friendly only want sex, even if they're already in a relationship, or worse, already married."
Then there's the feminists and the lesbians, usually they both go hand in hand.
It seems most women don't like being "harassed" by men anymore,And he ends with the Makow doctrine that everything wrong with the world (you know, like Jews, lesbians and feminists) is done by the Illuminati:
The crimes against humanity by Illuminati social engineers in the name of freedom and equality are mind boggling.

In this two hour interview with host Jerry Avalos, I dig deep into my experience vault to reveal details of nonconsensual medical and scientific experimentation as well as being in covert programs with supersoldiers on both sides of the pond, Aaron McCollum and James Casbolt. Riveting details of recovered memories are revealed that have never been written or talked about publicly as well. Highly recommended listening. Fortean Sexuality: "I Married a Lesbian"
When I saw this link on Rense.com: "I Married a Lesbian," I just knew it was from Henry ("Mad") Makow. I clicked over, and sure enough, toots, I was right! The article isn't by old Henry himself, it's written by Dan Abshear, but Henry has given the piece his A-okay.
There are soooooooo many things wrong, (and yet, sadly hysterically funny even if the latter is unwittingly so) with this article, beginning with the title of course. Then the sexist comment about the "...extremely rare and hard-to-find image of lesbians who aren't extremely hot." Implying of course that, well, lesbianism is kind of okay as long as the women are "hot" and getting off the severely fucked up hetro males viewing such images.
Oh, and then there's this:
She and I are 4th cousins as well.
She became "interested" in him when he was 21 -- how old was she? They're fourth cousins. They met when he was 14 . . . anyway, they marry, and he quickly wonders why his wife is "unresponsive" to him. Sex is not the thrill it should be. So instead of asking her why she finds him repugnant he begins a program of self-improvement:
She was sexually impotent with me, and this puzzled me. So, I began to exercise very aggressively and intensely. This would include such activities as weightlifting and long distance bicycling.
While rather puny when I got married, I developed into quite a attractive and sturdy young man. This was all to please my wife and gain her affection. I improved my diet and continued these exercise habits until the age of 40.
Since this didn't increase her intimacy toward me, I began to wonder if she wanted me to make more money. The first six or so years of our marriage, I barely made more than minimum wage. We were very poor, and in debt.
And so on, him trying to find ways to make his wife sexually and emotionally responsive. No where does he write if he tried talking to her about these intimate issues.
Things go along for twenty years, including having a child, and hubby insists his wife seek therapy, which she does. Alarmingly, her psychiatrist breaks the rules of ethics and confidentially and tells him that:
... I visited the same psychiatrist. He told me that my wife was in fact a lesbian, and that it would destroy me in time if I did not divorce her.
Here's a huge WTF moment:
Interestingly, our sex life actually improved a great deal. It appears that my knowing she was a lesbian may have given her some freedom.
And yet, the marriage fails, because, among other things, she "falsely" accused him of domestic violence. So the lesbian wife, er, ex-wife, moves out. Not, however, with her female lover, but:
And my ex wife has yet to disclose to anyone that she is a lesbian. She continues to live this lie. My ex wife presently has a boyfriend in order to continue the concealment. ..
I'm not sure what the point is, other than it appeared on Henry Makow's site, which is notoriously misogynist and homophobic, and such lurid stupidity reigns.
As usual, the majority of comments left at the end of the article are as scary as the rest of what gets thrown up there. Like this philosophical sharing from "Marcos":
One thing every man should know is that you never, never satisfy a woman by appeasement...
As Americans say, she is sh*t testing you, to check if you are really worth her relinquishing sexually to you. The answer is to show strength and dominance, and never the contrary, trying to please her, to be "nice" which is what most men do. This will only make the woman despise your weakness even more. . .
Understand that this unconscious, biological. Women need to be certain that they've got the best men her looks can "buy". If she feels irritated, frustrated around you (and still you are a good guy), she has doubts about her choice. When you assert your dominance, those doubts are gone. As Henry says, women need to relinquish power to the man, but only to those she admires. Women are hypergamous, i.e., they always go for the alpha male, for the powerful man. You must assure that you are this man.

Wingfield points out glaring untruths in LMH's presentation at the 23rd Ozark UFO Conference:
George Wingfield: Linda Moulton-Howe's false UFO & crop circles..
I am very wary of self-styled UFO Police and invite all (except uber psycho skeptoids) to play. Demands from some researchers that certain subjects or approaches within UFOlogy be rejected for whatever reason should be soundly mocked and utterly ignored. But there is something to be said for being coherent (as I'll comment later regarding Paola Harris) or being cavelair with information. We've been seeing a lot of this these days, from David Jacobs, Budd Hopkins, and many more before them, and we'll of course see many more after this.
I wasn't at this conference and can't comment directly. I've stood up for LMH in the past and she does deserve acknowledgement for her contributions. I do think she has her own view of what "all this" is, (most of us have our own views of what "all this" is) and that affects her spin on the stories she brings us. She's not the only researcher to do so.
By the way, if you visit Colin Andrew's site, and can find some way of contributing to his efforts, I am sure he will appreciate it.

Synchronicity: Pendulums, Tesla and Orbs
Yes, I have bunches of dowsers and pendulums, but at the conference one of the vendors had one that really caught my eye:
The first thing I thought was it is a Tesla coil pendulum! Then I thought that isn't right because Tesla coils have tight spirals like this:
but I knew that it reminded me of some Tesla invention so when the conference was over I did some searching and came across this:
Tesla's drawing for wireless electricity transmitter/receiver. I haven't been able to use the pendulum outside yet because of the spring winds, but I was sitting inside and dangling it and wondering if it was a transmitter or receiver or maybe both. I jokingly thought that maybe I could call some UFOs using it. Laid it down, forgot about it. A little while later I went outside and I was just sitting there not even looking at the sky and there was a very loud plane I saw it flying over a little south of me (which makes sense as that is the normal flight path), but then when I turned back and looked almost directly overhead there was one of those damn orbs flying over. It was going so fast that I only managed one photo before it was out of view:
Seemed more than a little synchronistic after thinking about that while holding the pendulum.

LIED TO AGAIN!
I continue to receive emails from across the country concerning sightings of UFO's , orbs of light and fire balls being seen during the East Coast Blackout of 1965.
It is obvious at this point that something went on during that day in November far past a unexplained massive blackout. It is also obvious that what actually went on that day was easily swept under the carpet and kept from the public.
Many people did try to report strange sightings and events during that time however were met with total disregard , even annoyance and were easily silenced. The entire event is another example of how simple it is to steer society in to believing what they are told to believe as well as how easy it is to silence those who question what is going on around them.
I have received enough reports to know what I witnessed that day was also seen by many others . It became apparent to me through my emails that many who read my account thought I was writing about a comet or something of that nature streaking across the sky. Please understand I never intended to give that impression. What I saw was something out of control that was on fire crashing through the night sky at incredible speed . I do not think it crashed on earth as the size of the object would have made it impossible to cover up. The object may have made it to the ocean . I also know stranger things than that happen all the time that we are not privy to.
I imagine a possibility of what happened to this enormous object could be many outcomes including it regained control , or burned up completely or made it out of our atmosphere and continued out into space. I have no idea. All I do know is that I saw it slam across the sky. It was huge, and it was on fire.
For years I have been sent reports from people seeing strange crafts around electric wires . I am aware as I sure you are that many blackouts are associated with UFO's. I wrote an article a while ago about a feeding UFO spotted over a hub of electric towers, cell phone towers and a radio tower by a group of men here on Long Island New York. The men were walking along a wooded area and came across a isolated area where this group of towers stood . Above this group of towers (which is a major part of Long Islands grid ) hovered a very large black craft with a ray of some kind connected into the tower group. A mini blackout was occurring at the time in the local area. The men were terrified and retreated quickly away from the area. The object did not seem to detect them and they were able to return to a main area. Shortly after their sighting a large blinking of the electric lights in the populated nearby area took place restoring the electric to the area ending the mini blackout.
I have read similar accounts of things like this happening all over the world. In the past few years I have been told by three different people that they had strange incidents happen while out at night in their own neighborhoods. The areas were all different. The people were all different, what they were doing at the time was different however what they witnessed was the same.
Whether they were standing outside smoking, putting out the trash or walking their dogs the people all noticed a very dark large oval object that at first appeared to be a shadow moving slowing down the street over the tree line. When they investigated a bit closer they realized it was a solid dark object slowly hovering along the streets electric lines. All the people who described this same encounter had nearly identical descriptions of what they saw and what the object was doing. Each one of them also told me independently that once they got a good clear look at the thing they became terrified and quickly retreated to the safety of their homes.
When the people called the local authorities to enquirer if anyone else had called in seeing this object they were brushed off and treated as our society has been trained to react to those who are brave enough to report these events.
I spoke to many educated people who have strong science backgrounds about these sightings . We had long discussions on what is likely going on with these crafts seen over our connections to our energy and communication grids. The idea that the crafts are attaching to our wires of electric or communication to upload or take energy was ruled out at once. Any craft able to do the feats that we witness surely are far advanced and have no use for our primitive energy.
The fact is the majority of those I spoke to feel the crafts are downloading in to our grids. Of course they may upload all we transmit by way of our electric , transmitting and wireless technology. The people with science backgrounds that I discussed this with feel it far more likely they are down loading what they want to invade and pass into our homes, our communication and entertainment devices. Any life form as advanced as those who have conquered space, time and universal or dimensional travel are certainly able to control and saturate us with whatever they wish via our antique systems.
I think the likely hood of this is very high. I think the likely hood this has been going on for many years is also very high. I think mistakes happen even with advanced aliens . I believe it very likely that the massive blackout of 1965 and the sightings including the fire ball I saw may have been part of a huge mistake or accident by those who visit us. I think many unexplained blackouts can be explained the exact same way.
Of course this is my opinion however I do believe it is one with legs, arms, and a very alien soul!
I received a very interesting email from a reader who wanted to add his thinking to this subject .
Please see what he had to say about it all. His email to me is below:
Hi, Chris--
I've got a few things relating to a fireball seen during the
blackout of 1965 that might interest you.
I've got a few things relating to a fireball seen during the
blackout of 1965 that might interest you.
Although coverage of a fireball apparently didn't appear in the New York Times or Washington. Post the Chicago Tribune. did run an article on July 30th 1968 entitled "Hint UFOs Might Be Cause of Blackouts."
It quotes Dr. James E. McDonald--a prominent atmospheric scientist and UFO researcher of the time--during testimony before Congress on the 29th that there were reports in upstate New York of a glowing object at the instant the lights went out. McDonald noted that hundreds of UFO sightings were reported to the Federal Power commission during the blackout. At the time McDonald and several other scientists--including Drs. J. Allen Hynek and Carl Sagan--were addressing Congress on the subject of UFOs.
McDonald had a huge interest in UFO sightings that affected the power systems of cars, buildings, or electrical networks because of the physical evidence that might be left behind
as well as any insights into the modus operandi of the phenomenon he might tease out.
McDonald had a huge interest in UFO sightings that affected the power systems of cars, buildings, or electrical networks because of the physical evidence that might be left behind
as well as any insights into the modus operandi of the phenomenon he might tease out.
To this extent he tape-recorded dozens of people about their UFO sightings and
many of these recordings still exist. Pertaining to the New York blackout he interviewed Robert C. Walsh, Deputy Commissioner for Aviation, Syracuse, NY (interview was on 4
August 1968) also a Mr. Weldon Ross and a Mr. Case. He interviewed this group of men all
concerning UFO fireball sightings they'd had on 9 November 1965. There may have been other recordings in this vein however they most likely no longer exist as McDonald died in 1971.
I believe the book INCIDENT AT EXETER by John G. Fuller also
has a section on UFO sightings during the blackout, but you
probably already know this.
If I can be of further assistance along these lines, please
let me know.
My best to you, Chris!

I think you will find this email as interesting as I did. It is really silly at this point not to realize that the major event that occurred over the East Coast of the United Starts in 1965 was not as simple as we were trained to believe. I think we are lucky it did not cause us more harm than a few hours of blackness. I also think it is becoming obvious we need to start to think about who and what may be downloading or uploading who knows what into the grids that we are all hooked into each and every day of our lives. I am beginning to think our thinking is not our own. I seem to believe this more and more as I purposely watch less television, turn off my computer and rarely ever switch on my cell phone. I do not want to be part of something I am not sure of. Being attached to anything for hours at a time that can be interfered with in many ways by many others is not my idea of a good time.
I can only bring you that which is told to me and hope you all with give these things some thought the next time you spend hours talking on, texting on, sitting in front of or holding something that may be downloading right into your brain!
The next time we suffer blackouts for no apparent reason lets become less gullible and more interested in what is really going on around and above us. The days of living in darkness can only end if we decide to see the light of truth for ourselves.
Be careful out there and please pay attention to what is going on right in front of your own eyes.

Atheist Dr Francesca Stavrakopoulout: BBC face of religion | Mail Online:
"Far more significant is the Bible's admission that the goddess Asherah was worshipped in Yahweh's temple in Jerusalem. In the Book Of Kings, we're told that a statue of Asherah was housed in the temple and that female temple personnel wove ritual textiles for her.
'In fact, although the Bible condemns all of these practices, the biblical texts suggest that goddess worship was a thriving feature of high-status religion in Jerusalem. What, then, was her relationship to Yahweh?
'Ancient texts, amulets and figurines unearthed here reveal that she was a powerful fertility goddess."

By Deirdre O'Lavery
For someone who in her youth was almost utterly confused by numbers, I had, at the same time, been profoundly intrigued by them (and still am). Frankly, I was terrible at math when I was a child and easily discouraged from exploring math-based studies. This may have something to do with the fact I was the last person in my 5th grade math class to complete the 100 question multiplication test in under 5 minutes, and as a result was ridiculed by the teacher.
But it isn’t uncommon for individuals who are geared more towards creativity to have difficulty with mathematical problems, and my father often soothed my feelings of mathematical inadequacy by explaining that as an artist I interpret and utilize maths differently. Unfortunately, because of my troubles in 5th grade, it affected my placement in math classes though Jr. High. Then in my freshman year of high school, I was placed in pre-algebra. While this was still a level behind what most of the other students were learning at, it was this class that made numbers finally click in a way they never had before. It was also my scores in pre-algebra that finally had me placed in standard level maths.
