Over at this link in a British newspaper today there is a story, with picture, of a UFO over my hometown.

Oooh arrrr not alone anymore
Hmm, I don’t want to be a spoilsport, but it looks more like a lenticular cloud to me – although I don’t know if you have to have certain weather conditions for those types of clouds to form.

Interesting, from a distance, the original photo, it really looks like a craft, very out of place and not like a cloud, etc. at all.
The enlarge version, you can see how it could be lenticular cloud. Maybe.
Also, the witnesses experiences, not seeing it while taking the picture, etc. all pretty typical of finding UFOs later on the film.
A lot of people seem to think it looks an awful lot like a bird--and I agree.
Lenticular clouds are formed when upper-altitude high-level winds are present. This doesn't look like a LC, but it doesn't look like a bird either. I don't know how the photographer knew it was "2 miles" away without any reference points near the object, or whatever it is.
