See Pink Floyd's 'Dark Side of the Moon' and 'Wizard of Oz' Together | FirstShowing.net
One of my favorite movies, one I've seen dozens of times. And one of my all time favorite groups (which I was fortunate enough to see in concert decades ago.) But nope, I tried this years ago, and just didn't synch up. Fun trying though. See Pink Floyd's 'Dark Side of the Moon' and 'Wizard of Oz' Together | FirstShowing.net

Women on trial in Russia for protesting against Putin:BBC News - Member of Russian band Pussy Riot falls ill at trial
Nadezhda Tolokonnikova, Mariya Alekhina and Yekaterina Samutsevich were taken into custody in February after performing a protest song against President Vladimir Putin at Moscow's Christ the Saviour Cathedral.
The song outraged the Russian Orthodox Church, which accused them of blasphemy. Supporters say the case reflects the state's growing intolerance of government opponents.

Lost pendant: Just an odd little coincidence
This is really nothing but just this side of weird enough to note. Around this past April, I had misplaced a necklace. Nothing special at all, I just really liked the thing; a small bronze glittery ball on a bronze colored chain. I looked everywhere, couldn't find it. Looked in all the places: all my purses, my jewelry dresser thing, drawers, under the bed, you name it. It seemed to be lost. Every now and then I'd go and look again but it never turned up.
This morning, as I was doing the dishes, I had the random thought "I really want to find my necklace!" Then I put it out of my mind. This afternoon, I picked up my large canvas bag I use as an overnight bag. I had tossed it on a chair when I returned from an overnight visit out of town a couple of days ago. I pick up the bag to put it in the closet, and, as I'm zipping it up, I notice something sparkly on top of the zipper. There it is, the little bronze necklace! It was just like someone had specifically placed it there. I was very surprised of course -- no idea where it could have come from! -- but was grateful and made sure I said so to whoever, or whatever, it was that put it there for me to find.

Kithra's Krystal Kave: Olympic Opening Ceremony
Kithra's Krystal Kave: Olympic Opening Ceremony
I watched the first hour of the Olympics’ Opening Ceremony last night, before turning it off in disgust. I thought it was dreadful, and boring, and lacking in continuity. While I appreciate the theme behind it, I found the actual show itself simply terrible. However, it seems that, for the most part, the media had given it nothing but high praise. Apparently, a third of the UK population watched it, but how it was understood by the one billion people around the world who saw it, I can only guess. A great many of them must have been left very bemused.

Why does Rense link to this stuff? 'Gay Mormons Leave Church. Who Cares?'
Henry Makow used to be the darling of Jeff Rense.com, but some tiff occurred between them and Rense no longer links to Henry Makow. (For those unfamilair with Makow, he writes homo-phobic, anti-feminist, misosgynistic and anti-Semitic pieces that, regardless of the main theme of any given article, are summarized with the conclusion that these crimes against society are the work of commie-lesbo-Jew-Illluminati-Satanists.) Unfortunately, as we know, there is no lack of bigots out there and Rense has simply continued linking to such people; one such person is Paul A. Drockton M.A. In the following blog, he rants about gay Mormons leaving the church, and for Drockton, that's a good thing:Paul Drockton: Gay Mormons Leave Church. Who Cares?

alienviews: The Porcine "Status Quo."
Alfred Lehmberg's latest: alienviews: The Porcine "Status Quo." As always I'm relecutant to choose a quote only because it wouldn't do the piece justice. Out of context, a bit, and there's so much wonderful stuff before and after. But I'll give you the beginning and you'll need to visit Alfred's site for the rest:
alienviews: The Porcine "Status Quo."
One pays his price for thinking thoughts regarding "ebbs" and "flows" of an inculcated gracelessness we've come to know and loath. This "inculcated gracelessness" is from the "top," my friends, to cloud our sensibilities to the facts of their pretense. What are the smooth mechanics of this "system" as bestowed? Why, it's the gravid sociopathy of their porcine "status quo"!I like that: "... the gravid sociopathy of their porcine "status quo"! "
.
UFOs are surly counter to this *fog* as it's contrived... fog "few" prefer as "blessing," but by "most" is most despised. There is much—indeed awry—in "wisdom of convention," so "Status Quo" on UFOs? Beyond all comprehension.

Lesley Gunter: Is It Raining Men?
Lesley's latestgrey matters column at Tim Binnall's site.
As most of you know - I love men! So don't take this as some sort of cut of all men, but frankly, there is a reason why men who listen to too much Alex Jones probably don't get laid.
Trying to come up with something to write about, I put that need out on Facebook and I wasn't disappointed. Someone on Facebook felt I should write about the NWO, but it wasn't until the discussion turned to women's rights and contraception and he referred to the "prison planet" and "population control" as part of a mass plan by the NWO to control things that I came up with something to write about. Although, it isn't in the way he had hoped.

Cool idea using Kickstarter, something I and Jim have been thinking about using for our creative projects. Here's one from Sharon Lee, Ms. Bigfoot reporter herself. You can donate anything from $1.00 on up.
